• Edge of Arabia: Contemporary Art from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was launched on March 22nd, 2012 at Art Dubai and subsequently publicized through launch events at Art Basel in June 2012

Goals:

  • • Increase international public awareness of contemporary Middle Eastern art and culture, with a special focus on Saudi Arabia
    • Amplify moderate cultural voices from the Middle East
    • Enrich the cultural experience of international audiences with a special focus on European and Middle Eastern and Muslim communities
    • Improve the career opportunities of Middle Eastern artists
    • Support improved academic discourse on Middle Eastern art and culture in international universities and informal learning environments
    • Encourage long term and sustainable partnerships and friendships between European and American cultural institutions and Middle Eastern artists
